Modern Parenting- Group Coaching Experience
What if parenting felt easier?
This past year hasn’t been the kindest to parents. Feeling overwhelmed is the new norm. With all the stressors it’s normal to want to change the way we parent. 2020 wasn’t a chapter in any parenting book I’ve read. Who covered pandemics, racism, protests, and climate change? The world is changing and so is the parenting our kids need.
The well-meaning and knowing looks from loved ones are irritating and embarrassing. You want to do something new. Old advice hasn’t worked, doesn’t align with your values, and honestly left many of us scarred. Current parent experts may not look like you (ahem, mostly white) and their advice can be unrealistic to keep up with.
Create a parenting style that works for your family.
People and families aren’t one size fits all, so why is parenting advice? Sure you can get a few different styles, but what if you want to mix and match? Can you throw the whole thing out and try something new? What will your family and friends think?! What will those well-meaning, but possibly out-of-touch pros think?
Get support to be the parent your child needs.
Learn from your “fails” to strengthen your skills. Oh, the things you could do!
Have those tough talks with your kids about racism, grief, death, and more.
Figure out your kid's needs and confidently provide them.
Model self-care and self-compassion.
I'm certain there are more. Specific to your needs. Which is exactly the issue. Parenting isn't one size fits all.
Nor is it, read a book, blog, or social media post and go forth and consciously/positively/intuitively/good-ishly parent.
It’s messy, scary, and until recently, a group effort.
What's missing from self-helps is:
-Support-

⭐ Being the realest cheerleader you know
You don’t have to do this alone.
